This policy (together with our Disclaimer and any other documents referred to on our Site) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. 1 Information about us

1.1 BSK Group-CiC is a community interest company that operates as a business development organisation, specialising in the design, financing and delivery of business programmes and services across Europe. This activity is managed through our two subsidiary companies, Business Support Kent Community Interest Company (BSK-CiC) and BSK-Direct Ltd.

1.2 These terms of use govern the following sites:

2 Information We May Collect From You

2.1 We may collect and process the following data about you:

2.1.1 Information that you provide by filling in forms on our Site. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use our Site, subscribing to our services, posting material or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information if, for instance, you enter a competition or sponsored promotion, and when you report a problem with our Site.

2.1.2 Information that is publicly available such as from details at Companies House.

2.1.3 If you contact us by email, fax, telephone or post or if you come to see us and leave your details, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

2.1.4 If you make an order from us such as requesting a publication or you register for an event we may collect your details.

2.1.5 We may also ask you to complete surveys that we use for research purposes, although you do not have to respond to them.

2.1.6 Details of any transactions you carry out or orders you make through our Site.

2.1.7 Details of your visits to our Site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data and the resources that you access.

3 IP Addresses and Cookies

3.1 We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and trouble shooting purposes. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

3.2 For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our Site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:

3.2.1 To estimate our audience size and usage pattern.

4 Where We Store Your Personal Data

4.1 All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

4.2 The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). This may happen if, for instance, details you post on our Site or ask us to post are viewed by someone overseas. It may also occur if we decide to transfer our IT operations overseas which will mean your data would be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. 5 Uses Made of the Information

5.1 We use information held about you in the following ways:

5.1.1 To update our database(s) so that your data and business details can be kept up to date.

6 Disclosure of Your Information

6.1 We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 736 of the UK Companies Act 1985. These are noted in section 1.1.

6.2 We may disclose your personal information to third parties

6.2.1 If BSK Group-CiC or any of its subsidiaries assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by us about you will be one of the transferred assets.

6.2.2 If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our disclaimer and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any project operated by BSK Group-CiC subsidiaries, BSK Group-CiC subsidiary companies, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

6.2.3 Where we enter into relationship with a company through an EU programme that requires us to share the data with the programme, that data will be held for up to 15 years for funding evidence purposes.

7 Your Rights

7.1 You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. 7.2 Our Site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the website of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these website, please note that these website have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. 8 Access to Information

8.1 The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you. We will require proof of identity with any request made.

9 Changes to Our Privacy Policy

9.1 Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by email.
